CedarTech provides IT support and related services to small businesses in Calgary and the surrounding area. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it and how we protect it. We follow the principles of Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
What We Collect
- Contact details you send us, such as your name, email address, phone number, business name and office size, when you use our contact form, email or call us.
- Information about your IT setup that you choose to share with us, or that we see while carrying out a check-up or work you've asked for.
- Basic website statistics, such as page views and general location by country or region. These statistics don't identify you personally and don't use advertising cookies.
How We Use It
- To reply to your enquiry and book your free IT check-up.
- To provide, document and invoice the services you've asked for.
- To understand how our website is used so we can improve it.
We don't sell, rent or trade your personal information, and we don't use it for unrelated marketing.
Who We Share It With
We only share information with the service providers we need to run the business, such as our website host (Cloudflare), our email and file provider (Microsoft 365) and our contact form provider. These providers may store or process information outside Canada, and they're required to protect it.
We may also disclose information if required by law.
Your Systems and Data
When we work on your computers or accounts, we access only what's needed to do the job. Your accounts, passwords and data remain yours. We don't connect to accounting, patient or case-management systems unless you ask us to, and we don't keep copies of your business files.
How Long We Keep It
We keep enquiry and client records only as long as needed to provide our services and meet legal and tax requirements, then delete them securely.
Your Rights
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where the law allows. You can also withdraw your consent to us contacting you at any time.
